Bolivia: Emergency Recovery and Disaster Management

WASHINGTON, June 5, 2008- The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:

 

IDA Credit: US$4.4 Million

TERMS: Maturity = 35 Years; Grace Period = 10 Years

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project will support the implementation of the proposed works in the National Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Plan (PNRR) to recover from the effects of El Niño and La Niña in order to restore access to basic infrastructure and rehabilitate productive sector for a portion of the affected population in the nine departments, and to strengthen the Government’s ability at the national, sectoral, and municipal levels throughout the country to respond to future disasters.
