Lao PDR: Customs and Trade Facilitation Project

WASHINGTON, June 17, 2008- The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:

 

IDA Grant: US$6.0 million

Project Description: The Customs and Trade Facilitation Project aims to facilitate trade by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of customs administration. The project will simplify customs procedures, eliminate duplication and redundancy, reduce transaction costs and time to clear goods, and increase transparency and accountability.
