WASHINGTON, October 21, 2008- The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors: IDA Credit: US$160 million TERMS: Maturity= 40 years; Grace = 10 years Project Description: The poverty reduction support operation (PRSC-6) is the third credit in a series of five annual operations (PRSC-4/8) and the mid-cycle operation supporting the implementation of Tanzania’s National Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty (known as MKUKUTA). Its strategic focus is on two key sets of objectives: sustaining high and shared economic growth, and expanding the effective delivery of basic services through the government budget.
