Overview:

December 3rd marks the world-wide day of disabilities...a day to celebrate those who are different and to work toward making sure they are included. In Pakistan, an innovative World Bank-supported program that began after an earthquake four years ago is helping disabled people.

    Washington DC, December 2, 2009—Pakistan suffered through a massive earthquake on October 8, 2005. A World Bank supported project there is helping disabled people get around…on the streets, in buildings, and in society.
