Mozambique – Higher Education, Science and Technology Project

WASHINGTON, February 25, 2010 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:

 

IBRD Loan: US$40 million equivalent

Terms: Maturity = 40 years; Grace Period = 10 years

Project ID: P111592

 

Project Description: 

The overall objective of the project is to support the Government of Mozambique’s policy goals of economic development and poverty alleviation by increasing the number and quality of graduates at the undergraduate and graduate levels. It will also strengthen the national research capacities to produce research outputs of relevance to the country’s strategic economic sectors.
