Thailand: Highways Management Project [Additional Financing]

WASHINGTON, March 18, 2010 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:

 

IBRD Loan: US$79.3 million equivalent

Terms: Maturity = 15 years; Grace Period = 5 years

Project ID: P112918

 

Project Description: The Highways Management Project for Thailand aims to support the Government of Thailand’s efforts to improve the nation’s highway system. The additional loan will mainly help finance the costs associated with the widening of five national highway sections from two lanes to four lanes (totaling 2 16 kilometers) under the Royal Government of Thailand (RGT)'s four-lane Second Phase Highway Widening Project (phase II).
