WASHINGTON, August 26, 2010 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:
IDA Grant: US$7 million
Project ID: P117446
Project Description: The proposed additional financing will support the original objectives of the project, which are a) to mitigate the immediate and gathering health and environmental safety threats to the communities surrounding the effluent lake at the Beit Lahiya Wastewater Treatment Plant, and b) to provide a satisfactory solution to the treatment of wastewater for the Northern Governorate of Gaza. The overall project design and components will remain unchanged.
