WASHINGTON, November 11, 2010 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project: IBRD Loan: US$ 150 million Terms: Maturity = 15 years; Grace = 5 years Project ID: P118375 Project Description: The Road Upgrading and Modernization Project for Belarus aims to support the Government of Belarus' efforts to reduce transport costs for road users in Belarus, and introduce an efficient cost recovery mechanism for the Government of Belarus' road sector by implementing electronic tolling. The project funds will help improve the condition, quality and capacity of the M5 roadway and the implementation of the initial stage of an electronic road tolling system.
