Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) - Sustainable Financing and Management of Eastern Caribbean Marine Ecosystem Project

WASHINGTON, August 4, 2011 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:

GEF Trust Fund Grant: US $8.75 Million

Project ID: P103470

Project Description: The Sustainable Financing and Management of Eastern Caribbean Marine Ecosystem Project will establish conservation trust funds to provide reliable and consistent sources of funding for biodiversity preservation. It will also promote collaboration among participating countries (including governments, communities, NGOs, and the private sector) to facilitate marine and coastal conservation, protect near shore areas, and support a regional monitoring and information network.
