3rd Annual PSLO Energy Business Mission to Washington: Green Solutions to Global Challenges

Date: October 31st - November 4, 2010

The 3rd Annual PSLO Energy sector mission to Washington was held on October 31- November 4, 2010 on “Access to Energy for the World: Green Solutions to Global Challenges”. It was organized by the PSLOs from Canada (Alberta), Shane Jaffer, the USA (Chicago and Texas), Kasia Batorski and Jessie Tan as well as from Italy (Milan) Anna Carrabetta with the support of the rest of the PSLO Network. The participation doubled from last year, with some 90 participants. 41 company participants came from Europe (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Turkey and France), 29 from the US, 13 from Canada and 7 from developing countries (Ghana and DRC). During the week the participants took part in a rich program, meeting Energy Experts at the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the African Development Bank, the UN, United States Government Energy authorities and Millennium Challenge Corporation.
