Morocco: Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project

WASHINGTON, December 15, 2005- The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:

IBRD LOAN AMOUNT: $60 million
TERMS: Grace period = 6 years; Maturity = 22 years
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main objective of this project is to support the Moroccan Government’s efforts to pipe more drinking water to rural areas, with the aim of improving rural living conditions and promoting rural social and economic development.
