WASHINGTON, September 25, 2008- The following projects were approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:
IBRD Loan Amount: US$150 million
Terms: Maturity = 30 years; Grace = 5 years
Program Description: The Unleashing Productive Innovation Project for Argentina aims to support the expansion of Argentina's capacity to generate productive innovation in knowledge-based areas by: (i) facilitating the creation of new knowledge-based companies; (ii) upgrading research infrastructure in the areas of science, technology and productive innovation; and (iii) strengthening the policy framework governing science, technology, and productive innovation.
