WASHINGTON, February 17, 2009- The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:
IBRD Loan:US$330 million
TERMS: Maturity= 21.5 years; Grace= 13.5 years
Project Description: The ENVDPL will support the Government of Peru ’s efforts to strengthen environmental governance and institutions in Peru, and mainstream environmental sustainability in the development agenda of key sectors (mining, fisheries, and urban transport and energy). The ENVDPL will also promote improvements in health, particularly of the poor who are exposed to the highest risks from environmental degradation.
