Financial Management at Global Level

The Financial Management (FM) sector actively engages with colleagues from other development partner organizations - multilateral development banks (MDBs) and bilateral donors - when working on policy and institutional issues affecting FM arrangements. This contributes to a coordinated approach  to FM policies and procedures at the appropriate regional, country, and project levels, including the development of common approaches to financial management as part of the global harmonization initiative.

Additionally, an explicit goal of the Bank’s policy reform program in financial management is to align with relevant international standards and codes. In turn, the Bank engages with international standards setting and regulatory bodies to promote responsiveness of their pronouncements and processes to developing country needs.
