The Projects Database provides access to basic information on the World Bank's lending projects since 1947, when it started operations, to the present. It was created to help make the World Bank's lending more transparent to the public and its partners, and to encourage broader participation in the projects. In addition to lending products, the database includes information on Guarantees, various Grants, Montreal Protocol, Carbon Offsets, Debt Service Facility, Rainforest, and Special Financing.
It also provides links to publicly disclosed on-line documents. For older projects, there is a link to the Archives catalog, which contains records of older documents.
Where available, there are also links to contract awards since July 2000.
