The World Bank Policy on Disclosure of Information

The new World Bank Policy on Access to Information effective July 1, 2010, will disclose any information in its possession that is not on a list of exceptions.  This policy positions the World Bank as a leader in transparency and accountability among international institutions.

Access to Information Staff Handbook (AI Staff Handbook) accompanies the World Bank Policy on Access to Information (the Policy) effective July 1, 2010. The principal purpose of the handbook is to provide guidance to staff for determining whether information is public or non-public; and workflow processes for making information publicly available.

More information can be found on the Access to Information website.  Questions on access to information issues can be channeled through this website.
