World Bank Catalog

The World Bank offers a vast range of information resources. They include reports, publications, communications, data, knowledge, and management services. The World Bank Catalog provides a single point entry to an abundantly documented history of international aid development. It can stimulate dialogue on development issues that will ultimately contribute to the World Bank's overall mandate-alleviating poverty.

What can you find in the World Bank Catalog?
The World Bank Catalog covers several, but not yet all, of the World Bank's information systems. Coverage will increase incrementally over the next few years. The current edition of the World Bank Catalog provides access to the vast resources of the World Bank Archives and ImageBank and more than fifty types of Bank documents. The Catalog allows documents to be found and downloaded. Requests for disclosure review of eligible documents can be made and definitions of document types can be looked up in the Glossary.

How do you find information in the Catalog?
The Catalog supports search and browse. If you are familiar with the Bank's work and know what you are looking for, please try the search. To learn about the Bank's work and documents, browse by topic, business activity, country and regions, and organizational units.

How can you request the documents you find?
Documents that are disclosed, freely available and in electronic format can be accessed directly from the document citation. Requests for documents that are not in electronic format, and disclosure reviews of individual documents also may be requested directly from the document citation.

What enhancements can I expect in the Catalog in the next year?
In the future, the Catalog will provide access to more types of documents, as well as to World Bank publications, speeches, news stories, web pages, data, and so on.

Your comments and feedback will help us to incrementally improve the World Bank Catalog.
