This sample document is designed for an “output” based contract, reflecting the “service quality levels” of the roads under contract. The main focus of the contract is on maintenance services to be provided by the contractor, but also activities related to the management and evaluation of the road network under contract.
It is not designed for roads or road networks in very poor condition which would require major initial rehabilitation works. This document is also not meant for use for very small contracts (less than US$3-5 million).
