Procurement Harmonization work at the country level

The attached paper entitled "Requirements for Local Procurement in Borrowing Countries" reflects the agreement reached with other development Banks in a meeting in March 2002. This paper will aid staff and clients working on harmonization efforts with other financial institutions.

Harmonization of procurement policies and procedures among international financing institutions

In the initial stages of the Harmonization initiative, the focus was on aligning policies and procedures of development institutions. Representatives of multilateral development banks (the Harmonization Working Group) have been working together to produce "harmonized" bidding and proposal documents.
