Procurement Harmonization work at the country level
Under the auspices of the joint World Bank and the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC), interested developing countries and bilateral and multilateral donors started working together from 2003 to strengthen partner country procurement systems and the partners' ownership of the procurement process. The overall objective of this joint OECD/DAC initiative has been and continues to be to improve aid effectiveness by moving towards harmonized use of the country systems.
