As of May 21, 2009, the World Bank has agreed with both United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) on a template of Agreement to be used when any of these two organizations supports governments in procuring health related goods under Bank financed projects. The use of this template Agreement is authorized based on a waiver that was granted by the Managing Directors of the Bank on August 11, 2008. The duration of the waiver for its use is limited to 12 calendar months as of the date the waiver was granted.
