OPCFC regularly holds Brown Bag Lunch (BBL) seminars to showcase different aspects of the conflict and fragility agenda. These seminars seek to inform mainly Bank staff about new findings on fragility and conflict from academia, think tanks, and development organizations, and to provide a forum for lessons learned from operations in fragile and conflict-affected countries. Among the topics thus far were the following:

• Global burden of armed violence

 

• How does Sudan stay together

 

• Sri Lanka: civil war, economic turbulence, and public mind

 

• Capacity building in the Solomon Islands

 

• Retrospective by former country managers of fragile and conflict-affected countries
