Where can I search for operational documents?
Documents can be searched and printed for free at http://www-wds.worldbank.org/. InfoShop carries a select number of display copies. Country Public Information Centers (PICs) also carry regionally relevant documents. If you still can't find what you’re looking for, e-mail your question to Enquiries
How can I obtain a document?
Documents may be downloaded and printed for free from your computer. You can also contact the Public Information Services located in your country. A printout (not bound) may be purchased from the InfoShop for the cost of $20.00 U.S. dollars (plus any shipping charges). Email your request to Enquiries, or visit InfoShop in person.
Where can I view the World Bank disclosure policy?
Are World Bank publications free?
No, World Bank publications are available for purchase online, at InfoShop bookstore, local distributors and retail bookstores.
Is anything in InfoShop free?
Yes. InfoShop has copies of the World Bank Annual Report in 7 languages, plus Annual Reports from IFC, MIGA, ICSID and other organizations.
We also have various brochures and catalogs that are free for the taking. Please note that free materials cannot be shipped.
Does InfoShop carry anything besides World Bank publications?
Yes, we have books from over 700 publishers on a wide range of topics. We also have an extensive selection of remainder and sale books.
What are remainders?
When publishers and distributors have excess stock of a certain title, they will “remainder” it. This doesn’t mean the book is inferior or outdated. Bestsellers, classics and all kinds of worthy books get “remaindered” for a variety of reasons. We buy remainders that are related to the Bank’s mission at significantly reduced prices, and pass the savings on to our customers.
What methods of payment are accepted?
InfoShop accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diner’s Club cards. Payment by personal check from a US account is acceptable as long your name and address are pre-printed on the check and a valid ID is presented at the time of purchase. Cash (in US dollars only) is always accepted.
Can I charge InfoShop purchases to my department’s budget?
Yes, Bank staff may charge their InfoShop purchases to their OUI, provided they have their manager’s approval.

What is the return policy?
Returns must be made within 14 days of purchase. Items must be returned in their original condition accompanied by the original receipt. No returns are accepted on sales of project documents or clearance merchandise. Shipping charges for returns are not the responsibility of the InfoShop, except in cases of defective merchandise. Refunds will be issued in the same form of payment as purchase.
What are the shipping rates and options?
We can ship to anywhere in the world. We charge a fee for the first item, and a smaller fee for each additional item. We can ship via courier or US mail, but only items shipped by courier can be tracked. InfoShop is not responsible for lost items.
Can anyone attend InfoShop events?
Yes, InfoShop events are open to the public.
Do you charge admission to InfoShop events?
No, all InfoShop events are free of charge.

Do I have to register or bring I.D. for an event?
Prior registration for events is preferred. For some events, registration is mandatory and will be indicated as such in event announcements. You may be requested to show an ID before being allowed admittance to an event.

Most events are held in the World Bank J building at 701 18th Street NW, which can be accessed easily through the InfoShop. You can check the events calendar to confirm room location.
