| Bank Held 5th Bank – CSO Roundtable on the Food / Financial Crises: The Bank held the 5th Bank - CSO roundtable on the food / financial crises since March 2008. About 70 civil society leaders attended the meeting either in person or via video conferences in 6 sites (Lilongwe, New Delhi, Brussels, Dublin, Geneva, and Atlanta). More... |  | 2009 AMs Civil Society Policy Forum Attracts Record CSO Participation: Civil society participation at the 2009 World Bank – IMF Annual Meetings in Istanbul, Turkey was the largest and most intense ever. Over 1,000 CSO representatives were accredited and nearly 500 attended the 6-day 50 policy dialogue sessions on topics ranging from the global economic crisis and information disclosure, to climate change. The highlight of the event was a Townhall Meeting with Bank and Fund Principals Messrs. Zoellick and Strauss-Kahn, moderated by Archbishop Ndungane. More...
