Parliamentary Network Delegation Report:  The Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (the Parliamentary Network) participated with a high number of delegation in the Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington D.C. from 17 to 19 April 2012. During this time, delegates took part in a parliamentary workshop and met with senior representatives from the World Bank and IMF in bilateral meetings. Read Report.

Social Accountability Partnership Enters Second Phase of Consultations:   A second round of country-specific consultations on this proposed partnership will be held from May through June 2012 to go deeper into the operational details, before going back to the Bank’s board for consideration.  Click here for details.  Also CSOs and Bank senior Management participated in a high level session during the Spring Meetings to further explore the role that social accountability plays in development.  Watch a replay of the webcast on the highligh level session and read summary.

Training Session for CSOs on Open Development Tools: The Civil Society Team partnered with the Bank Information Center to hold a hands-on training session on several of the Bank’s Open Development Programs. Some 20 CSO representatives from the Washington area participated in the two-hour session held on March 7. The session featured presentations on the following data platforms and tools: Projects and Operations, Open Data, Mapping for Results, and Open Finances. Click here to see the event.
