The countries and geographic regions assisted by the World Bank face a wide range of environmental challenges. The specific actions called for in each country will thus also vary substantially.
The Bank's primary contact with client countries is through the Bank's six Regions -- East Asia and the Pacific, Europe and Central Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and North Africa, South Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
As part of the Strategy preparation process, each Region prepared its own strategy applying the corporate strategic framework and reflecting the specific needs and priorities of its client countries.
