Implementation Updates

The Environment Strategy emphasizes the need to enhance the integration of environmental considerations into all areas of development assistance. Internally, it stresses the need for improvements in three key areas:

analytical and advisory activities (AAA)
project and program design through the mainstreaming of environmental considerations
the safeguard system.

Implementing the Strategy, in turn, requires some institutional realignment.
