Operations Evaluation Department Environment Review

The evaluation of the Operations Evaluation Department (OED) has been timed to inform the preparation of the new Environment Strategy. The evaluation is based on the synthesis of self-evaluation assessments, case studies of selected countries, background reviews of selected areas, surveys and interviews of Bank staff, and consultations with stakeholders in four regions.

An Advisory Panel reviewed drafts and served as a sounding board for the recommendations. A concluding Workshop on the World Bank's Environment Strategy and OED's Environment Review provided an opportunity for participants to comment on the Review findings and on the draft Environment Strategy, and to discuss next steps in implementation.
