Environment Strategy Notes

The Strategy Notes, published regularly in a concise 4-page format, address analytical, methodological and operational issues relevant to strategy implementation with a view to mainstreaming environment into core operations of the World Bank. The series is multi-disciplinary in scope and covers a wide range of themes such as poverty, environment and health, environmental indicators, mainstreaming environment into the Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSPs), Country Assistance Strategies (CASs), and sector programs.

The overall aim of the series is to give guidance and provide a springboard for debating ideas and experiences by publishing internal Bank studies, lessons from specific policy initiatives, ongoing or completed research, critiques and review articles that have demonstrable relevance to strategy implementation.
