Following are a selected sample of SEA Terms of References, organized by sectors and types of SEA (institution-centered or impact-centered). A good SEA process is tailor-made to the context in which it operates. This means that the design and process of SEA should be developed taking into account local context and constraints so that it can effectively influence the policies, plans or programs. These samples are not meant to be a step by step guideline, but are intended to provide some useful elements and examples for a successful SEA, based on which a new SEA can be designed. Â
