CU-GDLN in collaboration with the World Bank Institute (WBI) is going to organize a videoconference on "Water and Climate Change: Issues and Practical Responses", aiming to address all facets of water resources and water management that is affected by climate change as well as other human activities.
This videoconference is, in fact, an activity of "Expo Zaragoza 2008", an international exposition held in Zaragoza, Spain during June 14 - September 14, 2008. The organizer from WBI and senior practitioners from various countries will participate from the conference center in Zaragoza. Countries targeted to connect via GDLN for this activity is Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Vanuatu or SPRER (South Pacific Regional Environment Program) through the regional center. For Thailand, Dr. Anond Snidvongs, Director, Southeast Asia START Global Change Regional Center, and Lecturer, Department of Marine Science, Chulalongkorn University, will be the local facilitator.
