Regional Initiatives

Since the mid-1990s, the World Bank has focused significantly on the transboundary environmental issues that can affect many governments sharing coastal resources. An increasingly successful approach involves developing projects within a regional context, so that multiple governments can collectively address improved management and policy development.

The links in the left-hand menu provide examples of the progress being made with transboundary projects in several regions of the world.
