Sources of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)

A list of processes believed to be likely sources of POPs was compiled into a report for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) by a group of international experts in persistent chemicals at the 1st Scientific and Technical Evaluation Workshop on Persistent Manufactured Chemicals Produced for Non-Agricultural Applications, Persistent Toxic and Persistent Unintentional Byproducts of Industrial and Combustion Processes (click here to access this UNEP report).
