Competitiveness

Industry competitiveness is reflected in sustained growth in productivity of producers, firms and industry clusters in the agribusiness sector. This competitiveness is a result of sound business strategies and supportive micro-economic and macro-economic conditions.

An agribusiness competitiveness initiative assists private sector agribusiness clusters to respond to reformed policy and institutional environments to increase investment, growth, productivity, profitability, employment and exports.

A competitiveness initiative contributes to continued policy and institutional reform in the public sector and stimulates productive and effective dialogue between the private and public sector. This site provides access to World Bank and partner documents and resources relating to agribusiness competitiveness issues.
