Agriculture and Rural Development Day at Rio+20: The ARDD will hold its flagship event during Rio +20 in June. This is a one-day event that brings together policy makers, farmers, scientists and development experts and gives them the opportunity to renew their commitment to what United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called "a sustainable green economy." The purpose of Agriculture and Rural Development Day – the fourth in a series of annual events – is to ensure that such a vision includes clear steps toward sustainable food systems. Participants will chart a way forward, reinforce alliances, and identify ways to measure progress. Click here to register.
