Agricultural Risks are ubiquitous and varied. From fire, to transport, to price, to weather risk, the list changes depending on the client, country and activity being undertaken. Not all agricultural risks can be managed. However, in certain cases, techniques and approaches are available to assist stakeholders to manage the risks that they face.
Recognizing the importance of advancing the topic of risk management in the agricultural sector and building relevant capacity, the World Bank has developed courses that provide both general and specialised training in this area.
Goal of the Courses:
The risk management courses offered by ARMT aim to educate agricultural enterprises and associated institutions on how key agricultural risks may best be managed. All courses focus on risk assessment and the development of risk management programs that can help manage risk. Courses can be accessed anytime online at www.agrisktraining.org.
