The International Steering Committee (ISC) is comprised of the governments of Bulgaria, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, as well as the European Commission and the World Bank.
ISC-1
The first ISC meeting (ISC-1) took place Feb 21-22, 2005, in Moscow. It marked the formal initiation of the ENA FLEG process and participants provided guidance on the overall design of the process. ISC-1 agreed to convene the Preparatory Conference from June 6-8 in Moscow, with the Ministerial conference to follow late 2005. (Summary report of ISC-1)
ISC-2
The ISC met again on May 20, 2005 during the 5th session of the UN Forum on Forests in New York to discuss on and prepare for the ENA-FLEG Preparatory Conference and to identify critical next steps towards the Ministerial Conference. (Summary report of ISC-2)
ISC-3
The ISC meet briefly for a third time at the Preparatory Conference on June 8 to agree on key procedural issues and timeline for next steps. The ISC agreed to the dates of Nov 22-25th, 2005, for the Ministerial Conference to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia. (Summary report of ISC-3 )
ISC-4
On October 12, 2005 the ENA FLEG ISC met for the 4th time via video-conference. The objective of the meeting was to review the status of preparations for the Ministerial Conference and provide guidance on any related matters. (Summary report of ISC-4)
