Avian influenza control and pandemic preparedness work at the World Bank covers multiple regions and sectors. The World Bank is also engaged in a number of partnerships with multiple global and regional non-governmental organizations. These partnerships help coordinate and complement the World Bank's actions and the global effort against avian and human pandemic influenza.
