Lao People's Democratic Republic

Lao PDR is a designated focus country where capacity development is pillar of the Bank’s strategy and country program. In close collaboration with the country team, WBI is providing assistance in the design, implementation, and monitoring of capacity development interventions for both lending and non-lending activities.

As part of this program, the Government of the Lao, the World Bank and UNDP have jointly launched a series of three workshops on costing and prioritization to support the implementation of the National Growth and Poverty Eradication Strategy (NGPES) for Lao PDR.
