     
WBI, along with the country team, is assisting the government of Chad to develop capacity in public financial management. WBI program aims to define the capacity development needs, including prioritizing these needs in the civil service, and assisting local training institutes to respond better to local needs. While building on past experiences, the Regional Capacity Enhancement Team is adopting a new country-focus approach in Chad. Though it is early to draw lessons from the process adopted by WBI, this customized and country focus approach has proved to be advantageous.
