Social Protection

Launched in 2001, the Africa social protection strategy, "Dynamic Risk Management and the Poor", aims at reducing the vulnerability of the poor through social risk management by shifting the focus from risk coping to risk reduction. To support mainstreaming the strategy at the county level, the World Bank developed an action plan including a strong capacity development component.
