WBI's Leadership Development Services are a unique resource within the development community. The program offers customized technical assistance to top-level decision-makers in client countries at both the national and sub-national levels who are looking for innovative solutions to tough development challenges.
The emphasis of this country-based work is always on managing change and managing for results. Typical entry points include post-conflict situations, new governments or states, and major reform initiatives such as decentralization. The Leadership team is also the prime force behind a working group of donors that has come together to register the importance of leadership work for the global development agenda, notably for improved governance and managing for development results. This work includes research to take stock of existing leadership development efforts around the world, and identify best practice as well as gaps and opportunities for future work.
