Enabling Policies & Institutions

Successful C&Y policies must be multisectoral  in nature and supported by a capable institutional framework.

 

Such policies include inter alia:

  • Economic growth strategies which are pro-poor (and therefore necessarily pro-young) as well as targeted infrastructure development.
  • Policies that improve service delivery, particularly in the education and health sectors.
  • Policies that pay specific attention to supply-side bottlenecks in service delivery and that human capacity.
