Y2Y Members are (i) young World Bank Group employees ("Internal Members") and (ii) development professionals ("External Members") who are committed to improving the lives youth globally. The Y2Y leverages its Members' diversity across regions, sectors, and functions to channel and implement ideas effectively. Membership is not limited by age.
Internal Membership is made eligible to all categories of the World Bank Group employees, ranging from Junior Professional Associates (JPAs) and Young Professionals (YPs) to Investment Analysts (IAs), and Consultants and Temporaries. Y2Y partners with External Members who will participate in most of Y2Y activities but do not have voting priviledges.

Founding Principles

Governance Structure
Y2Y Steering Committee manages the daily adminstrative and operational tasks to support Y2Y's Mission and Members. While promoting innovation, linkages, and communication, the Steering Committee also enforces the network's accountability and transparency for reputational issues and operational effectiveness. The Steering Committee will adopt stringent checks and balances, and consensus decision-making approach to ensure that Members' activities are aligned with the Bank strategy, interests, and guidelines. The Steering Committee holds a bi-weekly meeting regularly to discuss Y2Y's work program, and receive feedback from its Membership. The Steering Committee has an "open door" policy, maintains minutes of all Y2Y meetings in IRIS, and announces Y2Y activities to the Members in a bi-weekly newsletter.
