| The Debt News Exchange is an information-sharing service to the community of multilateral development banks (MDBs) participating in the HIPC debt relief initiative. The site highlights current/upcoming events – such as the annual MDB meeting on debt issues – and the latest developments related to the international community’s efforts to reduce excessive debt burdens in many of the world’s poorest countries. By providing easy access to the most up-to-date and accurate information on the issues to be covered by the annual meetings, it enables participants with busy schedules to prepare themselves for discussion. Another important purpose of this website is to facilitate active exchange of information and views on debt issues and recent developments among participants.
