Communication for Behavior Change

sa girl
DevComm intervenes strategically to effect behavior change. Research shows that awareness by itself does not necessarily lead to behavior change. Simply informing people about the "benefits" of a development project or a reform program is not enough. Sometimes change is perceived as a burden and a pain, especially when benefits are not received directly or immediately. We need to understand people's perceived and actual barriers to change and the "costs" people perceive as embedded in change. DevComm designs communication strategies that help different groups and countries manage behavior change processes.
