| The Client Survey Unit of DevComm offers services to World Bank staff and client countries in the following areas:  - Client Surveys: The Client Survey Unit encourages country teams that are in the CAS development stage to engage with their clients through a tracking survey that is sent to stakeholders in the country. The survey assesses the attitudes of stakeholders toward the Bank and its work in the country, as well as toward broader development issues.
 - Project related survey efforts: These survey programs are undertaken to inform the development of targeted communication strategies that resonate with critical audiences such as stakeholders and the general population, and provide teams with a full understanding of the project environment.
 - Regional surveys: Surveys are conducted to inform the development of region-wide strategies, new products and services, etc. These surveys can measure attitudes toward Bank approaches among elites and/or the general population.
 - Sector based surveys: Surveys are conducted with specific audiences to measure their views toward areas of development.Â
 - Client satisfaction surveys: Surveys are conducted for Bank clients who are trying to measure their own clients’ attitudes toward meetings, events, etc.
 - Survey training: Modules on opinion research are included in a number of communication distance learning and HQ based training sessions. The intent of these modules is to demonstrate how opinion research can be used to ensure that communication strategies are targeted, focused, and effective.
 - Survey advice:   When teams at the Bank are developing their own survey efforts, the Client Survey Unit offer assistance to ensure that the design is appropriate, the survey is conducted in an independent and objective manner, and the results are applied to the challenges they face.
