Strengthening School Health and Nutrition Programs: the second annual two week technical workshop
Following the success of the first course in March 2005,  a second regional course for Educationalists, Public Health Professionals and Community Development Workers, will be held in July 2006. This is an innovative two-week workshop on School Health and Nutrition (SHN) Programming to be organized jointly by the Partnership for Child Development, UK and the Eastern and Southern Africa Centre of International Parasite Control, Kenya.
 

The Inter Agency Task Team for Education (IATT), including the World Bank, will organize and lead workshops aimed at bringing together regional, national, and local stakeholders involved in developing education sector responses to HIV/AIDS. This may include stakeholders from ministries of education, health, community development/social welfare, women and youth, the National AIDS Commission, teacher unions, civil society, and development partners. Key regional/national/international experts are identified who not only provide a source of relevant knowledge and experience, but also play an important facilitation and guidance role.
