Tanzania : Science and Technology Higher Education Project

WASHINGTON, May 27, 2008- The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:

IDA Credit: USD$ 100 Million

TERMS: Maturity = 40 Years; Grace Period = 10 Years

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The project aims to increase the quantity and quality of higher education graduates, with special emphasis on science, technology, and education, through an improved learning environment. The Project will invest in two broad areas: (a) capacity to deliver specific degree projects of high priority; and (b) institutions and systems to support higher education generally.
