Benchmarking Education Systems for Results: East Asia Regional Conference
The objective of the conference is to take stock of progress in student achievement levels in the region and of what is known about the reasons for progress. The conference provides a forum for building networks, partnerships, and alliances; promoting assessment and evaluation of education programs; and assisting countries in defining a framework for benchmarking their education systems. The conference will be an opportunity to strengthen relations between national stakeholders and key international players and to raise awareness, at the highest level, of the impact of education system performance on the economy. Sponsors include the Governments of Thailand and Korea, UNESCO, UNICEF, EPDF, READ and the World Bank.
