World Bank education sector staff have offices in Washington, DC as well as in various country offices worldwide.
Before meeting with education sector staff in Washington DC, you should confirm which World Bank building they are in. Here is a map of the World Bank buildings and auditoriums and directions.
The Education Sector 'anchor unit' of the World Bank, including the Office of the Director, can be found on the 7th floor of the World Bank 'G' building, located at 1776 G St., NW (map).
The 'G' building is at the intersection of G and 18th Streets in downtown Washington, DC, diagonally behind the World Bank 'main complex' (MC) building, about 1.5 blocks west of the White House. If you are coming by metro (subway), the closest stops are Farragut West (orange and blue lines) and Farragut North (red line). There is a Subway sandwich shop and Taca airline office on the ground floor of the 'G' building; you enter the building itself through a courtyard behind Subway, right next to a statue of Don Quixote.
There is a security desk on the ground floor; please remember to bring photo identification so that you can be processed through security.
